1st/2nd Ballet (1hr) focuses on building strong foundations in ballet technique, posture, and musicality. Exercises at the ballet barre are increased in number to encourage coordination and muscle tone. Dancers will explore balance, learn many kinds of jumps, and begin to combine different dance movements together!


1st/2nd Tap/Jazz

1st/2nd Tap/Jazz (1hr) includes two genres in one dance class! Students begin class with an energetic jazz warm up, learn new jazz skills, and movement across the floor. Tap encourages refining footwork, musicality, and creativity!


1st/2nd Hip Hop

1st/2nd Hip Hop (1hr) is where students warm up and rock it out to the latest songs while learning fun combinations and dances! Center work includes conditioning, learning basic jazz steps, and finding that style and rhythm that makes dances so much fun! Traveling exercises are geared to develop coordination and flow of movement.


3rd/4th Ballet

3rd/4th Ballet (1hr) guides dancers through exercises designed to strengthen the leg muscles and train the upper body to maintain ballet placement. Simple conditioning exercises are begun to ensure the muscle strength necessary for years to come. Center work incorporates technique, coordination, and awareness of space and rhythm. Dancers begin to learn different variations of steps including waltzes, jumps, and turns.


3rd/4th Tap/Jazz

3rd/4th Lyrical (1hr) teaches a combination of skills and terminology used in beginner ballet and jazz classes. Grace and fluidity of movement are prioritized, in addition to proper body alignment and center of balance. Dancers learn new turns, jumps, and floor work.


3rd/4th Hip Hop

Acrobatics (30min) class will be a variety of strength, flexibility, balancing, and tumbling training. Strength and flexibility are the most important part of acrobatics to be able to build a firm foundation to grow from. Not only will we be working on different skills but also working on the confidence that these dancers need to have to perform skills, as well as their trust in me and themselves to know that they are able to grow and learn different skills by taking it one step at a time. Both classes will have the same foundation. However, the differences will be in what new skills are being learned.


5th-7th Ballet

5th-7th Ballet  (1hr) explores more complex movements, continues to develop strength and flexibility, and refines technique. Barre work becomes more demanding and center combinations include more complex jumps and turns, requiring more stamina.


5th-8th Pre Pointe/Beginner Pointe

5th-8th Pre Pointe/Beginner Pointe (1hr) focuses on developing the necessary foot/ankle strength required for pointe shoes, as well as improving overall alignment and posture. Students are taught exercises that enhance their stability, balance, and understanding of pointe work fundamentals. Certain requirements must be met to be considered for Pointe. To register for Pointe classes in the future, a student must have taken at least one year of Pre-Pointe. 


5th-7th Acrobatics

5th-7th Jazz (1hr) is filled with upbeat music and lots of energy! Focus is on technique, conditioning, musicality, and flexibility. Students are taught harder warm ups, center routines, intermediate turns, and jump combinations. 


5th-7th Tap

5th-7th Tap (1hr) teaches intricate footwork, variations. and how to add sounds to the basic tap steps. Dancers naturally improve their ability to count music, keep rhythm, and learn to create music with their feet!


5th-7th Lyrical

5th-7th Lyrical (1hr) includes ballet, modern and jazz techniques to create flowing and graceful movements. Dancers work to connect their steps together in fluid combinations and traveling exercises.  Attention is placed on increased control and balance necessary to learn intermediate turns, jumps, floor work, and extensions.


5th-7th Hip Hop

5th-7th Hip Hop (1hr) is a popular, high energy and fast paced type of dance that emphasizes rhythm, isolations, and self-expression. Combinations include a wide range of styles  that are often seen in current choreography, but are appropriate for the class age range!
